Abstract

Pelton turbine is one type of impulse turbine that it works influenced by the water jet comes out of the nozzle to rotate the wheel on the shaft. To know the distribution of flow velocity of the water and the distribution of pressure changes. At high water fall defined modeling (head) of 30 m and size of nozzle diameter 4 mm, and the size of the inside diameter of the pipe (penstock) 34 mm to make it look clearer distinction about how the distribution of speed and pressure that occurred in the installation of the turbine Pelton (valve and nozzle) then does a comparison of valve openings 45o and 90o. The water flow coming out from the nozzle will determine also the speed of rotation of the wheel or blades. Analysis distribution of water velocity and water pressure that occurs using the SolidWorks 2010 software.
