Abstract

Limitations of equipment for production processes, often a source of raw materials for processing queue. The basic components consist of the arrival queue, service, queue. Simulation is a collection of methods and applications to mimic the behavior of real systems. Data was collected through observation and interview methods. The data contains the time and distances between work stations, as well as cost data. Data inter-arrival time of 20 minutes, the time A 20-minute examination materials, examination materials B time 10 minutes, the time of examination materials C 5 minutes, the time machine process Fryma 150 minutes, the machine processing time 45 minutes Double Jacket, QC inspection time 15 minutes, time packaging products range from 20 minutes, Filling machine processing time 4 minutes, 10 minutes of time packing boxes. Cost data consist of an interest rate of 6%, the initial value, residual value, the cost of electricity of Rp. 25.000.000, taxes and insurance at 10% of initial value, as well as direct labor costs. The simulation results show that the longest queue occurs at work station Fryma machine with a maximum queue length of 102 units, the average queue length of 49.050 units, the average queuing time of 412.97 minutes. In the analysis obtained the maximum queue length becomes Fryma machine by 39 units, the average queue length of 18.838 units, the average queuing time of 408.45 minutes. On machine 2 Fryma maximum queue length of 53 units, the average queue length of 24.478 units, the average queuing time of 395.16 minutes. From the analysis of substitutes, the third alternative is to increase the working hours of employees provides cost equivalent to the most minimum of Rp. 76,828,250.
